Rahul is Back, gives much needed relief to party workers

4/16/2015 2:07:04 PM

New Delhi: Giving the much needed relief to his party workers the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is back in Delhi after his much longer 56-day sabbatical. Rahul reached here at 11:15 morning by a Thai Airways flight from Bangkok and straight away went to his residence at 12, Tughlaq Lane in central Delhi.

The Congress scion was wearing a dark shirt and seated in the back seat of his vehicle, he was escorted by his security personnel and drove to his residence without interacting with the waiting media.

Rahul’s mother, Sonia Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra received him at his residence.

While the flight came from Bangkok, but reports claimed that he had only transited through the Thai capital and was either in Vietnam or Yangon in Myanmar. Earlier reports had suggested that Rahul was in Europe, Bhutan, Uttarakhand among other places.

His 56-days long sabbatical had become a much part of the online humour and his “chintan” (introspection) turned ‘chinta’ (tension) for his party workers due to his absence, mainly after the electoral defeats in centre and several states.
