Washington DC: Barack Obama has taken oath as US president for second term and delivered his inaugural speech from Washington DC.
While delivering his inaugural speech President Obama stressed more on climate change that gave much hopes to the environmentalists. He also spoke about gay rights.
President Obama’s speech had several references to the Abraham Lincoln's second inaugural address. Obama said, “Through blood drawn by lash and blood drawn by sword, we learned that no union founded on the principles of liberty and equality could survive half-slave and half-free. We made ourselves anew, and vowed to move forward together.”
