New Delhi: The Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader Jitender Singh Tomar has been arrested for allegedly making fake degrees. Delhi Police has taken Tomar to Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh to gather more evidence in this case. Tomar, resigned as Delhi Law Minister after his arrest and claims that he has done his BSc. from RML Avadh University, Faizabad.
Tomar says that he has completed his LLB degree from VNSL Studies, a law college affiliated to Tilak Manjhi Bhagalpur University of Bihar.
Investigators are trying to find out whether Tomar has made these fake documents himself or if there is any organized gang behind it.
He was accompanied by an ACP level officer along with seven other recruits to Faizabad.
49-year-old Tomar, MLA from Trinagar and a first-time minister, was remanded in four-day police custody by a Delhi court yesterday.
